SRINAGAR, Apr 20 : A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) activist was shot at by militants at Jablipora village of Bijbehara in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district tonight.
Masked militants fired upon Abdul Qayoom Pandith son of Ghulam Mohidin Pandith outside his home at Jablipora. He received bullet injury in his leg.
Pandith, a contractor by profession was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. He was later referred to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.
Security forces launched searches in the area to nab the assailants.
