JAMMU, Apr 22: 50th KVS Regional Sports Meet got underway at various Kendriya Vidyalas across Jammu division, today.
50th KVS Regional Sports Meet of Jammu region (Football and Handball, U-14 & U-17 Boys) was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and fervour at Kendriya Vidyalaya Nagrota.
The programme started with lighting the traditional Lamp. This was followed by oath taking ceremony.
Didar Singh, the venue Principal extended a warm welcome to all the escorts and participants in the meet before declaring the meet open.
K V No 1 Udhampur participated in U-17 and K V No-2 Jammu participated in U-14 Football events.
Amreik Singh, TGT (P&HE) presented vote of thanks and Sandhya Sharma TGT (English) conducted the proceedings of the programme.
50th KVS Regional Sports Meet 2019-20 started today at KV Sunjuwan.
The teams from various schools of KV Region Jammu are taking part in the event.
Yoga, Badminton, Judo, Taekwondo and Rope-skipping events were held.
50 th KVS Regional Sports Meet 2019-20 of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu region, got underway at Kendriya Vidyalaya Kathua for the events of Under 14 and 17 Kabaddi (Girls), Kho-Kho (Girls) and Wrestling (Girls). Principal KV Kathua inaugurated the event.
About 228 students from 17 teams of different KVs of the region are taking part in this two days KV Regional Sports Meet.
50th KVS Regional Sports Meet got underway at KV Bantalab, wherein SP Singh, Deputy Inspector General CRPF Bantalab and Chairman VHC Bantalab was the chief guest who declared the meet open by lighting the ceremonial lamp amid chanting of mantras.
The much awaited 50th Regional Sports Meet was inaugurated at KV-1 Udhampur with great zeal and zest.
The competitions in Basketball, Kabaddi and Volleyball under the age group of 14 and 17 were held during the day.
Principal of the school Sumit Mehra was the chief guest on the occasion, who was honoured with cap and badge by the sports teacher.
