JAMMU, Apr 22: Stephens Institute of Paramedical Sciences organised a one-day awareness programme on “Drug-De-Addiction” in collaboration with J&K State and Society (JKSACS), here today.
Deepika Thakur, Deputy Director Information Education JKSACS was the chief guest and Dr Kamal Saini was the guest of honour.
The programme commenced with the release of balloons, which was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
Ritu Gupta, Assistant Professor of English and In-charge of Activities presented welcome address.
The main attraction of the event was Poster and Rangoli making competition on the topic ‘Drug De-Addiction’ or ‘Drug Free Youth’.
The participants showed creativity and innovation in displaying posters and rangolis. Poems were recited and speeches were delivered on the same topic.
The enthralling item of the programme was Enactment on ‘Drug-De-Addiction’ which mesmerized the spectators.
A pledge was also taken to make the youth drug-free.
Muni Dhar, Principal Stephens Institute of Paramedical Sciences threw light on the topic and advised the students to play a crucial role in eradicating this evil from the society.
The programme culminated with flag off rally which started from the college premises to Simbal Morh.
Director Stephens International Public School, Satvinder Singh Saini was present on the occasion along with Rashish Khajuria, Assistant Director Publicity, Rajesh Sharma, Assistant Director Youth and Rama Jamwal, Dean Academics Stephens International Public School.
