Soham Kamotra wins U-19 boys Chess title

JAMMU, Apr 23: Current State chess champion Soham Kamotra won the boys Under-19 Chess event after a very tough fight in 5 rounds, while Karan Pandita bagged second place and Superb Jain claimed 3rd place in the ongoing Jammu division selection events at Nek Hotel, below Gummat, here.
All the matches were conducted under the guidance of Atul Kumar Gupta, President AJKCA and under the supervision of Baldev Raj, Vice President AJKCA.
Vivek one of the top players and premier coach of J&K conducted all the matches.
Matches in 3 rounds of senior men also concluded today.
All the matches are played under the FIDE Laws of Chess under Swiss System. Pairings are done by Swiss Software.
Selected players from these events along with selected players from Kashmir division will participate in Nationals in 2019-20.
