JAMMU, Apr 23: Continuing their winning streak, J&K boys defeated Kerala 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 25-17, 25-13) and Himachal Pradesh 3-0 in the ongoing 27th Mini National Volleyball Championship at Shirdi in Maharashtra.
As per the reports reaching here, J&K won the opening set 25-22 and in the second Kerala bounced back 25-22. Continuing their superb performance, J&K won third set easily 25-17 and fourth 25-13 to make it a 3-1 win.
From J&K, Harshit Raina, Aman Khajuria and Bhanu Partap Singh were phenomenal as they played a brilliant game and scored bulk of points.
In their third league tie, J&K defeated Himachal Pradesh in straight sets 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-17). From the start, Aman Khajuria, Harshit Raina and Bhanu Partap Singh played aggressively and were in no mood to give any chance to Himachal Pradesh.
Earlier, in the opening match, J&K outplayed Bihar in a close contest 3-2 (30-28, 25-23, 15-25, 24-26, 15-11).
In all, 44 teams (22 each of boys and girls) drawn from 27 states and other affiliated units of the VFI are taking part in this competition.
