JAMMU, Apr 28: A meeting of J&K Batwal Youth Welfare Association was today held at Garhi under the chairmanship of Romesh Sargotra (Association President) and attended by many community members.
Most of the speakers in the meeting highlighted poverty and unemployment in the community.
Speaking in the meeting Mr Sargotra said that after 25 years of a report highlighting backwardness of Batwal Community, nothing has been done even though many memorandums have been submitted to the office of Governor, Satya Pal Malik in this regard.
They urged the Government to pay attention towards the genuine issues of Batwal people and so that Batwals may also heave a sigh of relief.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were Ram Lal Lakhotra, Om Parkash Tugga, Kamal Dass Motan, Narayan Dass Bassa and others.
