KATHUA, Feb 21: Villagers from Gurha Kalyal and adjoining areas held protest demonstration against the CAPD authorities for the shortage of ration on Dhar Road and disrupted movement of vehicles for about an hour in tehsil Billawar today.
The villagers from the area raised barricades on Dhar Road at Gurha Kalyal at 2.30 pm today and started protest. They alleged that there was shortage of ration in the area and the people have been left high and dry. There was no ration at the local CAPD depot and the public has been left to suffer. Large number of vehicles were stranded on the road due to villagers’ protest.
Later, SHO Billawar and Tehsildar reached the spot. TSO Billawar was also asked to reach there. On the assurance of the TSO and Tehsildar, the public then allowed the traffic on the road.
