JKCA Tournaments at Jammu, Kathua
*Junior-XI Kathua wins inaugural tie by 22 runs

JAMMU, May 3: Laxmi Cricket Club outplayed Jammu Warrior Janipur by 10 wickets and sailed into the next round of the ongoing JKCA Cricket Tournament at GGM Science College ground, here today. However, Junior-XI Kathua defeated Jogesh Cricket Club (JCC) Kathua by 22 runs in the inaugural tie of the JKCA Tournament, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at District Police Lines (DPL) Kathua
Batting first after winning the toss, Jammu Warrior Janipur made paltry 78 runs by losing all the wickets in 19.2 overs. Mukul was the top scorer with 14 runs, while Rishav made 12 runs and Dishav scored 9 runs.
From LCC side, Govind scalped 3 wickets, while Dhruv Parmar, Dhruv Mahajan and Sant Baksh took 2 wickets each.
In reply, LCC chased the target without losing any wicket. Yuvraj played a splendid inning of 39 runs, while Anuj chipped in 32 runs.
The match was officiated by Ashok Singh and Vijay Kumar as umpires, while Rahul Kumar maintained the scorecard.
Meanwhile, Junior-XI Kathua defeated Jogesh Cricket Club (JCC) Kathua by 22 runs in the inaugural tie of the JKCA Tournament, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) DPL DPL Kathua.
Batting first, Junior XI Kathua made 183 runs by losing all the wickers in 38.5 overs. Nikhil Sharma played a magnificent inning of 47 runs, while Nishank Mahajan scored 25 runs and Kewalpreet Singh made 19 runs.
From JCC side, Dinesh Sharma and Amit Kumar scalped 3 wickets each, while Jogesh Kumar, Rajan Kumar and Pankaj Mehra took 1 wicket apiece.
In reply, JCC failed to chase the target and lost the match by 22 runs by 29.3 overs. Bhupinder made 21 runs, while Jogesh Kumar scored 20 runs and Ravi Verma scored 15 runs.
From Junior-XI Kathua side, Sanchit scalped 4 wickets, while Kewalpreet Singh took 3 wickets. Karan Kumar and Anubhav Andotra pocketed one wicket each.
