JAMMU, May 4: Inter District, School and Zone Level Tournaments in different disciplines were held at different venues.
GANDHI NAGAR: Inter School Competitions for U-14 and 17 girls in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi and Volleyball concluded at Green Fields Ground, here.
In U-14 Kabaddi final, Carmel Convent HSS beat KB Public HSS by 21 points. In U-17 Kho-Kho final, GGHS Gandhi Nagar beat APS Ratnu Chak, whereas in U-14 final, APS Ratnu Chak beat Government Kower HS Bain Bajalta by 6 points.
In U-17 Kabaddi final, Carmel Convent HSS beat KB Public HSS by 19 points.
BHALWAL: Two days Inter School Competitions for U-14 and 17 boys commenced at GHSS Bhalwal.
In U-17 Volleyball, Calliope School beat KNIT Green, whereas in U-14, KNI Green defeated BKS Domana.
In U-14 Kho-Kho, GHS Aghore bagged first position, whereas in U-17, GHS Batehra bagged first position.
In U-14 Kabaddi, MHAC beat GHS Aghore, whereas in U-17, MHAC Nagbani bagged first position.
RS PURA: Inter School Tournament for U-14 boys and girls in different disciplines at GBHS RS Pura.
In U-14 Kho-Kho final, GMS Mill Area beat Holy Cross Convent RS Pura by 6 points, whereas in U-17 final, GHS Dablehar beat GHS Rangpur Maulana.
In U-14 Kabaddi final, GMS Mill Area beat GHS Satrayian by 31-19 points, whereas in U-17 final, New Public Brilliant beat GHS Satrayian by 26-11 points.
MARH: Players continued to exhibit their talent in the ongoing Inter School Zone Level Tournament for U-14 and 17 girls at GHSS Marh.
In U-14 Kho-Kho, GHS Shamachak beat GHS Brij Mandir, whereas in U-17, GHS Shamachak beat GHS Brij Mandir.
In U-14 Kabaddi, GHS Ghou Manhasa beat MRLD, whereas in U-17, GMS Akalpur beat Manik Public School.
UDHAMPUR: District Level Inter School tournament for U-14 and 17 boys and girls in the discipline of Badminton, Wushu and Speed Ball was held today at Subash Stadium and Mini stadium Badminton Hall, here.
In U-17 Badminton (Boys), Puranjay Sharma of Sharon Public School Udhampur emerged winner by defeating Sidharth Khajuria of BBSV Peeth. Achyut of APS Udhampur defeated Prince Sharma of Amardeep HS Udhampur in U-17 Speed Ball (Boys).
In U-14 Speed Ball (Boys), Kushangra of APS emerged winner whereas Tanheshwar of Amardeep HS Udhampur secured runner up position.
In U-17 Wushu (Girls), Nilakshi of BBSV Peeth emerged winner in below 40 kg, Kushi of APS Udhampur in below 45 kg, Prathana of AOC Udhampur in 48 kg, Divya of APS Udhampur in 52 kg, Suyeasha of AOC Udhampur in 56 kg and Suhani Mahajan of BBSV Peeth in 60 kg.
MAJALTA: Opening ceremony of Inter School Zonal Level Tournament of U-17 girls commenced at GHSS Majalta.
In U-17 Kho-Kho final, GHSS Garh Dhamma emerged winner, while GHS Sail Kouri Ber secured runner-up position.
In U-17 Kabaddi final, GHSS Garh Dhamma emerged winner, while GHS Barigarh bagged runner-up position.
In Yoga, Neha Devi and Rajni Devi of GHSS Garh Dhamma secured first and second positions respectively.
REASI: Zonal Level Inter School Competition for U-14 and 17 Girls was inaugurated in the Zorawar Singh Sports Complex here in the discipline of Volleyball, Kabaddi and Kho-Kho.
In U-17 Volleyball final, GHS Kambal Danga beat GHSS Reasi by 2-0 points, whereas in U-14 final, Amba Kids Panthal lost to GHSS Reasi by 2-0 points.
In U-17 Kabaddi final, GGHSS Reasi beat GHS Katra by 6 points, whereas in U-14 final, GMS Agarballian beat Amba Kids Panthal by 5 points.
In U-17 Kho-Kho final, GGHSS Reasi beat GHS Sirla Bhaga by 4 points, whereas in U-14 final, GMS Gran lost to GMS Agar Balian by 2 points.
BHADARWAH: District Level Inter-Zone Tournament for girls of District Doda in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Badminton, Volleyball and Wrestling commenced here at Government Higher Secondary School Girls (GHSSG).
During inaugural matches, Zone Doda defeated Zone Gundna by 2-0 sets in the discipline of Volleyball, while in Kabaddi, Bhalla Zone beat Ghat Zone by 19 points. In Kho-Kho, Zone Gundna beat Bhatyas zone by 8 points.
KATHUA: Inter School District Level Tournament in the discipline of Speedball, Taekwondo, and Rope Skipping commenced at Sports Stadium Kathua and Roll Ball at DPS Rajbagh.
In U-17 Roll Ball, Sai International School Hiranagar outplayed DAV Collegiate Lachipur by 1-0 goal, whereas in U-14 Rope Skipping (Girls), Tania Devi of MS Kalibari outplayed Dalli Devi of MS Chandwan in single steps. In doubles steps Sonali Devi of HS Nagri parole outplayed Manjula of same school. In U-17 Girls category, Neha Devi of HS Kathera defeated Sheetal Thakur of Nav Adarsh Academy in single steps and in doubles steps, Pinky Devi of HSS Kathera outplayed Liza Thappa of Holy Family.
In U-14 Taekwondo (Girls), Simran Devi, Manbi Devi of MS Karroh, Priya Devi, Risha Devi of MS Karroh and Rohini Thakur of DPS Rajbagh excelled in different weight categories, whereas in U-14 boys, Nitin Singh of DPS, Balwinder Kumar of SIS Hiranagar, Tanishveer Singh DPS, Divanshu of JSS and Udvansh of DPS Kathua secure first position in different weight categories.
In U-17 Taekwondo (Girls), Isha Bharti, Sohani Sambyal, Punita Kour, Vanshika, Deepshika, Trimbhika of JSS, Somya and Shakti Sharma of Mount Litra Zee School excelled in different weight categories, whereas in U-17 boys, Kartik of JSS, Navdeep Singh KPS, Vatsal of JSS, Mohit of DPS, Shitiz and Chiteresh of KPS, Danish of SIS and Abhishek of Mount Litra excelled in different weight categories.
