JKP thrashes Hiranagar CC by 105 runs

KATHUA, May 5: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) XI defeated Hiranagar Cricket Club by a big margin of 105 runs in the ongoing JKCA’s Kathua District Cricket Tournament at District Police Lines ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and electing to bat first, JKP scored a huge total of 314 runs in the stipulated 40 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process. Shivdutt played a magnificent innings of 141 runs off 116 balls, while Nikhil contributed 30 runs to the total. Reshav Kumar and Sanju captured 3 wickets each from Hiranagar Cricket Club.
In reply, Hiranagar Cricket Club bundled out for 203 runs in 32 overs, thus lost the match by 105 runs. Sanju top scored with 61 runs, while Vishal contributed 27 runs to the total. From JKP XI, Shivdutt and Surjeet bagged 2 wickets each.
The tournament is being organised by District Coordinating Committee, under the overall supervision of Member JKCA, Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member Judicial State Human Rights Commission.
