DODA, May 7: Green Model Higher Secondary School Doda celebrated its 41st Annual Day function (SIRAJ) with great zeal and enthusiasm at Sports Stadium, here.
Deputy Commissioner Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode graced the occasion as chief guest, while SSP Doda Shabir Ahmed Malik was the guest of honour. SP Operation Ravinder Pal Singh, CEO Doda Tariq Ahmed Khawaja, Chairman MC Doda Ved Parkash Gupta, BDO Bhaderwah Phulail Singh, Ex Chairman MC Doda Zaffar Ullah Rather, DySP Hqr Manoj Aryan, Founder GMHSS Doda Thakur Lal Chandail, Associate Principal GMHSS Doda Nishant Chandail, Dr Madhu Kapoor Chib and Dr Meenakshi Parihar were the special guests on the occasion.
The programme commenced with the welcome address presented by Director GMHSS Doda Om Parkash Chandail followed by school annual report which was read by School Academic Head Aditi Kath wherein she highlighted the achievements of the school in academics, sports and other curricular activities.
As many as 1650 students drawn from different classes of the school participated in different activities during the function which captivated the audience with their endearing and enthusiastic performances.
While speaking on the occasion, the chief guest DC Doda Dr Doifode lauded the efforts of GMHSS Doda and appreciated the students and school management for their outstanding performances.
Later-on, the chief guests along with other dignitaries distributed awards among the meritorious students who had excelled in academics and various other competitions.
The vote of thanks was presented by Vice Principal of the School, Shafi Arreqat.
