JAMMU, Feb 22: All Displaced K P United Forum while reiterating its demand of setting up of Minority Commission at State level and grant of minority status to the community accused the Government of marginalizing the community.
Chairman of the Forum D N Kissu alleged that both Central and State Governments have totally ignored the community.
Demanding minority status for the community, he said for want of same the KPs have been deprived of the benefits of many welfare schemes. He accused the politicians of ignoring the community which has been denied access to the political and economic resources of the State.
The meeting also reiterated the homeland demand for the community in Valley .It made an appeal to all social and political organizations of KPs to come on a single platform and accelerate the struggle for homeland.
K L Dhar alleged that some KP houses in Vichar Nagar Srinagar are still under illegal occupation of some unscrupulous elements and demanded their immediate restoration. Prof G L Koul demanded that ration be provided to APL category who have been deprived of the same for last six months. P L Sudeshi demanded implementation of PM’s package and PN Raina stressed on protection of shrines and temples. CL Zuthsi demanded allotment of quarters to chronic patients.
