8 pilgrims among 10 injured in road mishaps

KATRA, May 9: Eight pilgrims on way back to Katra from Shiv Khori, were injured when their vehicle collided with a car at Saldi village near Katra, late this evening.
All the injured pilgrims are from Uttar Pradesh and Delhi and they have been referred to GMC Hospital for treatment.
The accident took place when the Tempo bearing registration number JK02AF-5675, on way from Shiv Khori to Katra, hit an Alto car JK20A-7003, resulting into injuries to 8 persons. All the injured were shifted to CHC Katra where referred them to GMC Hospital Jammu for advanced treatment.
The injured were identified as Sumit Pawar (18) son of Jaipal of Balawpur, Faridabad, (UP), Parveen Kumar (33), son of Sukhdev of Balawpur, Khushi (10), daughter of Parveen Kumar, Aman (6), son of Vikram of Balawpur, Dhara Partap Singh (27), son of Daya Ram of Balawpur, Rajni (27), wife of Vikram of Balawpur, Sonia (28), wife of Vikas of Rajeev Nagar Delhi and Meena (26), wife of Dharam Pal of Delhi.
Meanwhile, an unidentified motorcyclist was found injured near Patta Capry on Reasi-Pouni road, here this evening. He was riding motorcycle JK02AK-4081 and apparently hit by some unidentified vehicle. He has been shifted to District Hospital Reasi for treatment.
In another road mishap, a pedestrian was hit by an unidentified vehicle at Serbad near Katra, this evening. The injured, identified as Kuldeep Kumar, son of Munshi of Karawa, was shifted to CHC Katra, where he was referred to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his serious condition.
