JAMMU, May 9: Sehwag Cricket Academy and YCC Billawar registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing District Level Cricket Tournament of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, being held under the patronage of Justice CK Prasad, Administrator JKCA, under the chairmanship of Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, CEO JKCA and overall supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member JKCA and Member Judicial State Human Rights Commission at different venues, here.
Sehwag Academy thrashed Cantt Cricket Club by 10 wickets in an easy contest at GGM Sciecne College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss adn batting first, Cantt Cricket Club, bundled out for a paltry total of 54 runs in 17.5 overs. Shubham was the only batsman to cross double figure mark, scoring 17 runs. From Sehwag CA, Rohit Sharma and Deepak Dogra took 3 wickets each.
In reply, Sehwag CA chased the target in 4.5 overs without losing any wicket, thus won the match by 10 wickets. Vivrant was the totp scorer with 46 runs, while Surya contributed 5 runs to the total.
At Police Lines ground Kathua, YCC Billawar defeated Chandwan Cricket Club by 3 wickets.
Bating first, Chandwan Club scored a good total of 208 runs in 38 overs. Sandeep top scored with 45 runs, while Sunil contributed 40 runs to the total. From YCC Billawar, Mohit Andotra and Dheeraj took 3 wickets each.
In reply, YCC Billawar chased the target in 31.3 overs by losing 7 wickets to win the match by 3 wickets. Sumit top scored with 54 runs, while Mohit Sapolia contributed 48 runs to the total. From Chandwan Club, Dharamvir took 2 wickets.
