JKCA’s Jammu District Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, May 21: Emerging Cricket Club thrashed Spartan Cricket Club in an easy contest by 86 runs in the ongoing Jammu District Cricket Tournament, being organised by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
The tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member Judicial State Human Rights Commission and Member JKCA.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Emerging Club scored 159 runs in 32.5 overs. Faizan top scored with 60 runs, while Ishan and Tanish contributed 26 and 15 runs to the total respectively. From Spartan Club, Akshay was the most successful bowler, who took 4 wickets, while Amar bagged 3 and Parshotam claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Spartan Cricket Club bundled out for a paltry total of 71 runs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 86 runs. Panwar was the only batsman to cross double figure mark, scoring 14 runs while no other batsman could reach the double figures. From Emerging Cricket Club, Ritik and Nitin took 4 wickets each, while Kewal claimed one wicket. Faizan was adjudged as the man of the match for his brilliant batting display.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Rahul Kumar as umpires, while Saleem-ur-Rehman was the scorer.
