*BDO office lying defunct since long

RAJOURI, May 21: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Sarpanches and Panches Democratic Forum today called on Deputy Commissioner and SSP Rajouri and apprised them of various problems being faced by people of block Rajnagar Budhal and submitted a memorandum.
Led by Forum chairman Farooq Inqlabi, the deputation sought registration of an FIR and action against officials of Health Department for casual approach that led to death of a new born baby at Budhal hospital.
They also demanded shifting of classes of Graduation courses from Govt Higher Secondary School, Budhal to newly constructed building of GDC, Budhal. They further demanded fencing of land of Education, Health, Horticulture , Animal & Sheep Husbandry departments at Budhal to save it from land grabbers.
The deputation informed DDC that post of Block Development Officer, Section Officer, Assistant Accounts Officer and Assistant Executive Engineer are lying vacant and making CD Block Rajnagar Budhal totally defunct. Electric poles, transformers and extra quota of ration on Eid festival demanded.
District Development Commissioner assured early redressal of grievances raised by the people from Budhal.
The deputation also met with SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas in his office regarding registration of FIR against Liaqat Chowdhary, Sarpanch Danna. Inqlabi sought fair and transparent investigation into the case.
Farooq was accompanied by Shabir Kamlak Aflatoon, Aquib Wani, Sarpanch Salma Chowdhary, Sarpanch Khalil-Ul-Rehman, Sarpanch Layaqat Ali, Sarpanch Gafoor Bhat, Naib Sarpanch Arshad Mir.
