JAMMU, May 29: Horizon Kings, Vridhi Royals and Patel Cricket Club registered emphatic victories over their rivals in the ongoing 2nd Police Public Cricket Premier League, being organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu in collaboration with KC Sports Club and Vishal Cricket Club Jammu at KC Sports Club, here.
The league is being organized under the Chairmanship of MK Sinha IGP Jammu.
In todays’ matches Rajesh Sharma SSP SO to IGP Jammu was the chief guest who was introduced with the participating teams.
Earlier in the first match Horizon Kings defeated The Game Changers by 8 wickets. Batting first, The Game Changers scored 101 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs, with Sumit top scoring with 52 runs. Rohan took 2 wickets.
In reply, Horizon Kings chased the target in 14.5 overs by losing 2 wickets thus won the match by 8 wickets. Raj Angat top scored with 59 runs.
From Game Changers, Manzir took 1 wicket. Raj Angat was declared as the man of the match.
Vriddhi Royals thrashed Count & Fitness Hurricanes by a big margin of 120 runs. Batting firstm Vridhhi Royals scored 188 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Tarun Bisht scored magnificent 128 runs, while Shivam Koul contributed 22 runs to the total. Uttkarsh Pandita was the pick of the bowlers from Count & Fitness, who took 5 wickets including a hat-trict.
Count Fitness Hurricanes collapsed at 68 runs, thus lost the match by 120 runs. Yuvraj Saini top scored with 22 runs. Deepak took 4 wickets, while Tarun bagged 2. Tarun was declared man of the match.
In another match, Patel Cricket club defeated GSI Tigers in a close contest by 3 runs. Batting first, Patel Club scored a modest total of 101 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Snoop Bhagat top scored with 50 runs, while Aditya contributed 10 runs.
In reply GSI Tigers scored 98 runs to lose the match by 3 runs. Junaid top scored with 45 runs, while Rishab contributed 29 runs. Dhruv and Parth took 3 wickets each, while Nityam Abrol claimed 2 wickets. Snoop Bhagat was declared as the man of the match.
