JAMMU, June 3: Government of India sanctioned, under National Rurban Mission (NRuM), Development of Integrated Cluster villages in Gole Gujral about more than 3 years back but is unfortunate and highly regrettable that work under NRuM was never started.
The work was started when BJP-PDP Government was dismissed and Assembly was dissolved and the State came under Governor/President Rule, alleged Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, former Minister and senior leader National Conference while addressing a prominent workers’ meeting at Gole Gujral Camp, Jammu.
Sadhotra added BJP leaders and workers were fighting to promote self vested interests and did not allow works to start. Works started only after the dissolution of Assembly. It shows clear cut intention of BJP not to go for development but promote vested interests. It shows BJP is disinterested for development of Jammu especially Gole Gujral and Jammu was ignored during BJP rule after it got huge mandate in 2014.
The National Conference leader said after the dissolution of the Assembly, the youth of Gole Gujral and National Conference workers took initiative and vigorously took up the matter with the concerned authorities, only then work under NRuM started.
Sadhotra demanded to expedite the works in Gole Gujral under NRuM, especially play ground for youth to play cricket be taken up on war footing so that talented youth of Gole Gujral could play cricket.
He asked the inhabitants of the village Gole Gujral to keep vigil on ongoing works to ensure that quality of the works is not compromised.
