KISHTWAR, June 3: Under the ages of All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations people from Machail, Chasoti, Humori, Ligri, Pallali, Massu, Matti, Gulabgarh, Tiyary, Ishtayri, Atholi, Ladder, Tatta Pani, Karthi, Lai, Sazzer, Kishtwar and Doda gathered at Paddar for the first time and paid floral tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Amarnath, son of the soil, born in 1928 at Batote.
Addressing the gathering, on 49th Shaheedi Divas of Bhagat Amarnath, R.K Kalsotra, State President of Confederation said the martyr dedicated and devoted himself for the social cause exclusively for downtrodden people of the State.
“He was deeply and highly concerned towards the worst living conditions, social, educational and consequent economic deprivation of the oppressed and exploited people who were denied even basic human rights,” Confederation leader said.
President Confederation Unit Doda, Amarnath while playing tributes to the martyr remembered his supreme sacrifice for Dalits and expressed that his sacrifices have resulted in two SC MLAs as Ministers.
Youth President Confederation Kishtwar, Arjun Kumar, also paid tribute to the martyr and enlightened the gathering about Bhagat Amarnath Ji by saying that the society owes a lot to him.
