OBCs raise demands during convention

JAMMU, June 3: A one day convention of All J&K OBC Maha Sabha was held at Vijaypur.
Justice R.C Gandhi (retired) was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Raj Kumar Chalotra raised the demands of OBC people.
These demands included reservation as per population of OBC people in the State in Government jobs and also in professional institutions.
Political reservation of OBCs from local bodies to parliament level, reservation and representation in J&K Public Service Commission, Service Selection Board etc was among other demands raised on this occasion.
More demands included issuance of one time OBC certificate instead of other social caste certificate and removal of creamy bar and nomination of at least two OBC members as Advisor to Governor.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest said that none of the political party has raised the issue of OBCs sincerely due to which the community is suffering in the past and present too.
