MENDHAR, June 4: During market checking by the local administration, a consignment of ‘Not for Sale’ marked biscuit packets, meant for Anganwadi centres, was seized from a shop, here today.
On the directions of Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mendhar, a team comprising of Naib Tehsildar, SHO, TSO and Medical Officer conducted an extensive market checking of main market Mendhar. During the checking, twenty dozen biscuit packets of brand Glucose Plus (Iron+Calcium), meant for Integrated Child Development Services (Anganwadi) supply with ‘Not for Sale’ label were recovered from a shopkeeper- ‘Lone Kiryana Shop’ near Jamia Masjid Mendhar.
Taking a strong note of the misappropriation of the Anganwadi goods, Tehsildar Mendhar directed for lodging an FIR against the erring shopkeeper and other people involved in it.
