6th Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, June 8: Simula Cricket Club defeated MHCC in a one-sided affair by 9 wickets in the ongoing 6th Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial Cricket Tournament, being organised by Lucky Sharma at MHAC School ground, Nagbani, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, MHCC scored a modest total of 111 runs in 20 overs. Vishu top scored with 33 runs, while Balwan contributed 16 runs to the total. Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Dalotra was the pick of the bowlers from Simula Cricket Club, who took 3 important wickets, while Asad and Vicky took 2 wickets each. In reply, Simula Cricket Club, rode on a magnificent partnership of 100 runs between Manjeet Singh and Lakhan to reach the target easily by losing 1 wicket, thus won the match by 9 wickets. Manjeet Singh top scored with quick-fire 55 runs off 33 balls, while Lakhan contributed valuable 45 runs to the total. For his brilliant batting display, Manjeet Singh was adjudged as the man of the match.
This was the fourth match of the tournament. In the three matches played already at the same venue, Kamala Warriors had defeated Junior Patoli, BCC got the better of Patoli Cricket Club and Singh Cricket Club drubbed Junior Nagbani.
Today’s match was officiated by Vika and Ajay Singh Jamwal as the umpires.
