JAMMU, June 10: A bomb-like object was spotted by security forces on Krishna Ghati road from Poonch to Mendhar this evening, leading to high alert and suspension of traffic as Bomb Disposal Squad of Army reached the spot and surrounded the road.

SSP Poonch Romesh Angral told the Excelsior that a suspicious object was found on Poonch-Mendhar road at Krishna Ghati this evening. Immediately thereafter, Army and police teams along with the Bomb Disposal Squad rushed to the spot and cordoned off the road.
Traffic and civilian movement has been suspended on the road temporarily.
The IED was likely to be defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad in an isolated area to avoid any damage.
