SRINAGAR, Feb 27: The Ministerial staff of Technical Education Department today carried out a protest demonstration while demanding conduct of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting in the department.
The protesters demanded that the DPC meeting should be carried out in the Kashmir division as has been done in the Jammu division. They alleged that Director, Technical Education is delaying the holding of the DPC meeting and said that the delay in holding the DPC meeting has marred the promotion chances of the employees in the department.
The protesters said that promotion should be given to the officials according to the seniority list, cadre management should be maintained in the department, transfer policy be framed and creation of administrative officer for ITI/Polytechnic wings for further promotion avenues for clerical cadre employees.
