POONCH, June 19: Star Surankote defeated Poonch Lions by 3 wickets in the ongoing JKCA Poonch District Cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium, here today.
Earlier, batting first, Poonch Lions bundled out for a paltry total of 99 runs in 21 overs. Sameer top scored with brilliant 50 runs for Poonch Lions.
For Star Surankote, Haider was the most successful bowler, who took 3 wickets, while Imran and Sikander shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, Star Surankote chased the target in 24.4 overs for the loss of 7 wickets, thus won the match by 3 wickets. Nasir and Adnan contributed 21 and 17 runs to the total respectively.
