Police organizes Talent Hunt Competition

UDHAMPUR, Feb 28: Udhampur Police organized District level Talent Hunt Competition “Choona Hai Aasman Season 3” under Civic Action Programme   at  Community Hall in which participants drawn from different areas, schools participated in Junior and Senior Categories.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Udhampur -Reasi Range,  Jagjit Kumar who  was chief guest on the occasion distributed prizes among the winners.
SSP Udhampur Ashkoor Wani  said that this programme has been organized by J&K Police to explore best talent among the youth of district Udhampur. Such programmes are bound to improve children’s self confidence and esteem and encourage them to pursue and improve hidden talent. This would also help in channelizing their energies in constructive and prospective purposes rather than their inclination towards anti-social activities.
Out of 20 participants, who were selected after rounds of screening trails at DPL, 8 were selected by the member of jury, 4 each in Senior and Junior Categories. The participants selected in senior categories including Manju Bala,   Mamta, Suresh Kumar and Sulbeh Sharma.   While Raghujeet Singh, Jyoti Parkash, Simran Kour and Neeta Devi were went to next level. These participants will further participate in range level competition in which selected participants of District Reasi will also take part.
Deputy Chief Warden Advocate Swatantra Dev Kotwal conducted the proceeding of the function.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Sukhdev Singh, Dy.SP DAR, citizens and parents of the participants were present on the occasion.
