SAMBA, June 24: Chak Murar Lions won the cricket tournament organised by Panchayat Palli in Tehsil Bishnah beating Simbal Camp XI in the final played at Kothi Morh in district Samba.
As per the reports reaching here, Chak Murar Lions made 115 runs in 12 overs, which, in reply, Simbal Camp XI could not chase and boweld out for 100 runs thus lost the game by 15 runs.
Harry was declared man of the match. In total, 20 local teams of Tehsil Bishnah took part in this competition which was organised to involve young men of the rural areas into sports activities.
In the final and prize distribution function, Sarpanch Raj Kumar and Jai Ganga were special guests, who presented cash prize of Rs 5,100 to the winning team amidst appreciation for the organisers.
