JAMMU, June 26: Opening batsman Udhay Pratap Singh continued brilliance after scoring a century (156 runs) in the inaugural match of the 1st Shaheed Arjan Singh Cricket Championship at Khard, near Chandigarh.
Udhay represented Champions Cricket Academy Khard and hit a century against RPCA Junior Boys Delhi in the opening match of the tournament.
Batting first, Champions Cricket Academy scored a big total of 392 runs. Apart from Udhay’s unbeaten 156, Sukhman scored 168 runs. While Udhay scored 156 runs off 119 balls with 20 fours, Sukhman scored 168 off 106 balls with 14 fours and 4 sixes.
In reply, RPCA Juniors bundled out for 100 runs to lose the match by a huge margin. From Champions Academy, Sarang took 4 important wickets, while Sahil Kumar claimed 3 wickets. For his unbeaten century, Udhay was adjudged as the man of the match in the opening tie. He, however, continued his sublime form and emerged top scorer in the tournament.
