POONCH, June 26: United Chandak Cricket Club registered a huge 115 runs victory against Khan Club to advance in the ongoing District Poonch Cricket Tournament, being played under the aegis of J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) at Sports Stadium, here.
Batting first, United Chandak made 252 runs in 37 overs losing all their wickets. Iftikar played superb innings of 54 runs while Ishtiaq contributed 47 runs to the team’s total. From Khan Club, Dalvir and Romy took two wickets each.
In reply, Khan Club bowled out for 173 runs in 31 overs. Pankaj was top scorer, who contributed 33 runs to the total. Chandak Farhand and Iftikar bowled well from winners United Chandak taking away two wickets each.
Later, Iftikhar was adjudged man of match for his all round performance of a half century and two wickets.
Today’s match was officiated by the technical penal comprising Gurmeet Singh and Rajneesh Maini (umpires) while Mohd Shabir was scorer.
