DODA, June 27: Green Gladiators Doda and Doda Warriors registered convincing wins over their rivals in the ongoing All India 15th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship, being played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda with the support of District Administration and District Police Doda.
In the first match played today, Green Gladiators Doda defeated Eleven Views Phagsoo by 74 runs.
Batting first, Green Gladiators Doda set a target of 139 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Tushar scored highest with 38 runs followed by 18 runs each scored by Hajid Rather and Vinkal Kumar respectively. From the bowling side, Abid Butt grabbed 3 wickets while Raza Ali took 2 wickets.
In reply, Eleven Views Phagsoo collapsed at 65 runs in 13.3 overs, thus lost the match by 74 runs. Ayaz Ahmed scored 23 runs while Abrar Hussain contributed 10 runs for the team. From bowling side, Sikander Wani grabbed 3 wickets while Vinkal Kumar and Hajid Rather claimed 2 wickets each. Hajid Rather of Green Gladiators Doda team was declared as the man of the match for his all-round performance.
In another match, Doda Warriors defeated Young Star Cricket Club Gadi by 7 wickets.
