BJP meetings focus on membership drive

JAMMU, June 29: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir conducted several meetings at Rajouri, Kathua and Doda, pushing party leaders to increasingly focus on party’s upcoming membership drive which comprises first Phase of Sangathan Parv, being celebrated at national level by the party.
BJP State president, Ravinder Raina, chaired the meeting conducted at Rajouri in which leaders from Rajouri, Poonch and Nowshera, especially Mandal incharges and co-incharges for the membership campaign of the party participated. BJP senior leader & former VC Pahari Board, Kuldeep Raj Gupta, MLC Vibodh Gupta, district president, Dinesh Sharma, district prabhari, Sunil Gupta and other senior leaders of the party also addressed the meeting.
Similarly, BJP State general secretary (Org.), Ashok Kaul chaired the meeting conducted at Kathua, in which Mandal incharges and co-incharges from Kathua, Samba and Basohli participated. Former ministers, Chander Prakash Ganga, Dr. Devinder Manyal, Rajiv Jasrotia, MLC Charanjit Singh Khalsa, district president, Premnath Dogra, former MLAs Jeevan Lal, Kuldeep Kumar, Durga Dass, State president, OBC Morcha Rashpaul Verma and other senior leaders of party also addressed the meeting.
Another meeting was held at Doda, in which party leaders from Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban districts took part. The meeting was presided over by party State general secretary, Sunil Sharma along with party’s State co-incharge for membership campaign, Priya Sethi and it was also addressed by former Minister, Shakti Parihar, former MLA, Dilip Parihar and other senior leaders of party.
Ravinder Raina, while addressing the meeting, laid thrust on the importance of membership campaign. He claimed that the BJP is only political party in the whole country which has created the true picture of democracy as anybody with a humble background and sheer hard work & dedication can reach to the top most post in the party’s hierarchy.
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister & party’s national president, Amit Shah and other BJP leaders have started their journey without any political backing and this is due to this membership drive itself. He said that every BJP leader has to exhaust while pursuing this task as this process will form strong base for the biggest win in Assembly elections in the State.
Ashok Kaul, in his address, said that the BJP as world’s largest political party in the terms of primary membership has yet to reach its pinnacle, as held by our national president and all party workers have to push harder to achieve the aim. Aspiring target of 17 lakh membership by party in J&K, every single party representative has to play his or her part well which is to be efficiently augmented by Mandal Incharges and Co-Incharges set up by the party for the membership drive, stressed Kaul.
