DODA, June 29: Violent Cricket Club (VCC) Udhampur registered convincing win over Youth Cricket Club (YCC) Thathri by 5 wickets in the ongoing All India 15th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship played at Sports Stadium, here.
Batting first after winning the toss, YCC Thathri set a total of 134 runs in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Azeem Wani top scored with 47 runs while Imran contributed 22 runs to the total. From the bowling side, Sajid Koka bagged 3 wickets while Atta Mohd and Tahir Malik shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, VCC Udhampur team managed to chase the target in 18.3 overs for the loss of 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Ahatsham Malik was the top scorer with 52 runs while Tanveer Malik contributed 20 runs to the total. From bowling side, Makhmoor Malik took 2 wickets while Sajid Khan and Sarfaraz Ahmed claimed one wicket each. Sajid Koka of Violent Cricket Club Udhampur was declared as the man of the match for his splendid bowling performance who was given prize by Veteran Cricketer Shahdab Wani and Yasir Ali Dar.
