DODA, July 3: Aligarh Cricket Club (ACC) registered a resounding win by 66 runs over Jharkhand Cricket Club (JCC) in the ongoing All India 15th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship, being played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda with the support of District Administration and District Police Doda.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, ACC team set a target of 154 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Rashid Malik top scored with 33 runs while Pawan Kumar contributed 25 runs to the total. From bowling side, Kashif Alam took 3 wickets while Akram Raina claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Jharkhand Cricket Club bundled out for a paltry total of 88 runs in 17.1 overs, thus lost the match by 66 runs. Rakesh Kumar scored 26 runs while Avinash contributed 25 runs to the total. From bowling side, Imran Alam bagged 5 important wickets while M D Bilal bagged 2 wickets. Imran Alam of Aligarh Cricket Club was declared as the man of the match for his brilliant all-round performance, who was given prize by Senior Journalist Haq Nawaz Nehru in the presence of Abid Pampori.
The match was officiated by Harish Raza and Yousuf Raza as umpires while Sandeep Kaushik maintained the scorebook.
