DODA, July 4: Jharkhand Cricket Club (JCC) registered a resounding win over Youth Ababeel Doda (YAD) by 6 wickets in the ongoing All India 15th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship played at Sports Stadium, here today.
The tournament is organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda with the support of District Administration and District Police Doda.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, YAB set a target of 135 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Jaffar Amin scored highest with 42 runs while Yousuf Abdullah scored 27 runs. From bowling side, Kashif Alam, Paramjeet Kumar, Narender, Sunny Sahu and Avinash Kumar took one wicket each.
In reply, Jharkhand Cricket Club team easily chased the target in 16.1 overs for the loss of 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Sunny Sahu top scored with 31 runs while Raj Kumar added 30 runs to the total. From bowling side, Aayan Wani grabbed 2 important wickets while Imran Zaffar and Umair took 1 wicket each. Sunny Sahu of Jharkhand Cricket Club was declared as the man of the match for his brilliant all-round display who was given prize by chief guest, Sarshad Nisar Natnoo, Sarpanch Malwana (West).
The match was officiated by Harish Raza and Yousuf Raza as umpires while Sandeep Kaushik maintained the scorebook.
