KATRA, Mar 2: Katra Police today arrested a bootlegger and recovered 39 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
Reports said that acting on a specific information, a police party, led by SHO Katra Sanjeev Gupta laid a naka at Mayari Check Post and arrested the bootlegger when he was on way to Katra. 39 pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from the possession of alleged bootlegger, whose identity has been established as Inder Singh of Jakhani in Udhampur.
A case under 48-Excise Act has been registered against the accused, who was earlier also arrested for the similar offence.
