Kavinder tours Channi, starts up-gradation works of lanes

JAMMU, July 15: Former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today said that the Government has laid full focus on development of infrastructure to provide best amenities to the people of the State. He was addressing a gathering after starting the up-gradation of lanes of Bhagat Pura Channi, along with Councillor, Ward No. 51, Raj Kumar.
A large number of people drawn from different sections of the society met Kavinder Gupta and projected their problems and grievances. Hari Krishan Ganjoo, Jai Krishan Koul, Chaman Lal Sharma, Subash Chander Sharma, Ramesh Koul, Jagdish Porch, Kaka Ram and officers from concerned departments were also present. Listing achievements of the Centre and State Government, Gupta said Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has shown keen interest in the development of Jammu and Kashmir for which he is providing liberal funding. He said with liberal funding promised by the Centre all the approved development projects will be completed in a time bound manner in the State.
Referring to the work started at Bhagat Pura Channi, Gupta said due to sincere efforts of Raj Kumar councillor from the Ward, the lanes & drain works of interior areas in Channi have been approved by JMC and every work will be completed in time bound manner with the focus on the quality work & material.
He added that an era of development and progress has started in the State adding that social and economic up-lift of the weaker sections, downtrodden, women, youth and farmers is on prime agenda of the Government. He also made people aware about the benefits of various Centrally sponsored schemes including Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Digital India, Make In India, Skill India, Mudra Bank Yojana, DeenDayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, AMRUT Yojana, etc.
Later Kavinder Gupta along with Chief Conservator Forests started plantation drive at Canal head in Ward 52. On the occasion Gupta appealed public to plant more and more to safeguard the future of the forthcoming generations. Besides saving money for the children one should focus on the conservation of forests as well. Ajay Gupta Councillor JMC and other prominent persons of the area were present on the occasion.
