POONCH, July 24: Poonch XI crushed Royal Cricket Club by a huge margin of 243 runs in the ongoing JKCA District Level Cricket Tournament, being held under the chairmanship of Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, CEO JKCA at Sports Stadium, here.
Earlier, batting first Poonch XI Club scored a good total of 347 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 40 overs.
Zaffar top scored with 54 runs, while Gurvinder, Wasem and Ankysh contributed 44, 38 and 35 runs to the total respectively. For Royal Club, Kaif and Nazarat shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, Royal Club bundled out for a paltry total of 104 runs in 25.2 overs. Lucky top scored with 30 runs, while Aftar contributed 26 runs to the total.
From Poonch XI, Gurvinder snd Rustum took 4 and 2 wickets respectively.
Gurvinder was adjudged as the man of match for his match winning performance.
The match was officiated by Gurmeet and Rajnesh as umpires, while Shabbir was the scorer.
