SSP injured as convoy vehicles collided

LEH, July 25: A Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) was injured when two convoy vehicles collided with each other at Drass.
“The mishap occurred yesterday during a practice session,” said SHO, police station Drass, Inspector Manzur Wani. He said the injured police officer has been identified as SSP Vinay Kumar Khullar (49) son of late Isher Dass, resident of Sector No 5, Roop Nagar, Jammu, who is posted at Governor House.
The SHO informed that during practice session of convoy vehicles, one of the vehicles applied sudden brakes to avoid collision with some cattle which suddenly came in front of the convoy and the vehicle carrying the SSP collided with it.
He said the SSP received minor injuries in the mishap and was taken to a nearby hospital from which he was today shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
