Sahitya Akademi organizes ‘Kavi Sandhi’ programme

JAMMU, Aug 4: Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi organized ‘Kavi Sandhi’ programme at KL Sehgal Hall of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in Jammu.
During the programme, renowned poetess of Dogri, Usha Kiran recited some of her classic poetry pieces and shared her writing and personal experiences in the field of literature with the audience during question-answer session.
Earlier Dr Gian Singh, Member of Dogri Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, as an incharge of the programme, highlighted the importance of holding this programme, stating that such programmes create interest among young generation for their mother tongue.
Literary luminaries who witnessed the programme were ND Jamwal, Dr Jatinder Udhampuri, Mohan Singh, Shivdev Singh Susheel, Dr Sudhir Mahajan, Prof Raj Kumar, Prof Veena Gupta, Raj Manavari, Inderjeet Kesar, Randhir Singh Raipuria, Sham Talib, Dr Harish Kaila, Dr Chanchal Sharma, Dr Padamdev Singh, Rita Rani, Rattan Doshi, Jang S Verman, Ashok Gupta, Girdhari Lal Rahi and Puran Chand Badgotra.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks presented by Sunita Bhadwal, a senior writer and Member of Dogri Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi.
