JAMMU, Aug 8: BJP senior leader and MLC Ashok Khajuria today lambasted the leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad for his statement saying that those who were seen interacting with National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval in Kashmir were paid agents.
In a statement issued here ,today he said this way the Congress leader has insulted the people of Kashmir. Criticising the Congress he said the party leadership is in total desperation and their statements are outcome of the same.
Khajuria said Congress is so upset with the performance of Modi Government and its pro-national decisions that some of its leaders go to the extent of terming Kashmir a disputed issue. Khajuria said the party is answerable to people for such statements which are against the national interests.
Khajuria, while holding Congress responsible for present mess in the State said had then Prime Minister, Jawahar Lal Nehru not done blunder after blunder in 1947 and afterwards there would have not been no Kashmir issue at present.
He said the separate status granted to the State by Congress led to separatist and secessionist movement in Kashmir.
The BJP leader warned Congress of misguiding people of State especially Jammu region on abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A. He said by abrogating the controversial articles the nationalist people in the State were liberated by Modi Government and a real democracy will percolate to the grass root level in the three regions with all people irrespective of their caste, creed, colour, religion and region will take its advantage.
He said BJP which has been advocating for abrogation of controversial articles right form 1947 and the party gave many sacrifices since Praja Parishad Movement for the same will always work as watch dog for the interests of people of the State. He allayed the fears of the people that with abrogation of controversial articles the youth of the State will lose job opportunities. Khajuria said instead the job opportunities will increase and the youth of State who had gone to other parts of country will return to their home State after corporate sector will establish its enterprises in the State.
