JAMMU, Aug 13: KC Public School Jammu added yet another feather in their illustrious cap with the team of untiring Kceans making their Alma Mater proud by holding aloft best delegation trophy in the recently held Phoenix Youth Parliament organized by Banyan International School, here.
Among the mélange of 320 delegates from various schools of Jammu, 41 ingenious and eloquent speakers from KCPS registered Colossal victory, amassing the best delegation trophy and individual honours in distinct categories.
“Winning takes talent, to repeat takes character. The school aims at enthusing self-confidence in students and to boost credence in the budding speakers, the school encourages them to prove their worth at different platforms,” expressed Amarendra Kumar Mishra, Principal of KCPS.
Youth Parliament is one such platform which inculcates the spirit of self-discipline, tolerance of diverse opinion, righteous expression of views and other virtues of a democratic life.
Among 320 delegates from various schools, Kceans had a sweet smell of success while representing their respective portfolios in various committees.
In NITI Ayog, Samarth Gupta, Bhavyta Anand and Sulaksh Mehta were honoured for best delegate, high commendations and Verbal Mention respectively. Hanumat Sharma and Ojasvi Koul with intense debating skills bagged high commendation and Verbal Mention in AIPPM.
In NCW Committee, Sanjali Suri was endowed with Verbal Mention honours. Double delegation in Marvel Continuous Crisis Committee, Pranav, Akshit and Sarthak Manhas were conferred with Verbal Mention and high commendation was honoured to Vihaan Gupta and Vansh Vardhaan Singh.
Eloquent delegate Eka Koul bagged high commendation in Journalism. In HAIPPM Verbal Mention was bagged by Sanjali Suri. Finally in Caricature, Mishika Mittal was declared as the best delegate and Yajur Mahajan was awarded with high commendation.
Congratulating the ingenious debaters for their Meteoric win, Principal of the school appreciated the students for this laudable achievement. He further acknowledged the relentless efforts of their escort teacher Shobna Sethi, CCA Coordinator and eulogized her for her constant motivation and shouldering the onerous activity of training the students.
