JAMMU, Aug 17: Kashmiri Sewa Samaj (KSS) Faridabad, Haryana and Milan Vatika Sector 11, Faridabad at a specially organised programme today welcomed the historic decision of Narendra Modi led Union Government to abrogate the controversial Article 370 and Article 35-A.
The speakers while complimenting the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah said that the duo deserve all Kudos for this great and daring step.
Krishan Pal Gujjar Union Minister of State for Social Justice was the chief guest on the occasion while Pt. Mool Chand Sharma, MLA Haryana was the guest of honour in the function.
Addressing the function Krishan Pal Gujjar said that it is an occasion of celebration as to abrogate this Article nation and a common man of Jammu & Kashmiri had to wait for 70 long years. It needed courage and a will power to safeguard the national interests by abrogating these controversial articles, he added.
Gujjar said with the abrogation of controversial articles a new era has begun in J&K for which we were struggling for a long time. To bring Central ruled State out of present mess the developmental and progressive steps are being taken by the Modi led Government which included rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in their homeland also, he added.
Dr Agnishekhar, convener Panun Kashmir said “when we are celebrating the abrogation of Article 370 we should at the same time continue our struggle for separate homeland within Kashmir Valley as per the Margdarshan resolution of 1991’’.
Among others some prominent personalities of Haryana including Ajay Kumar Gour, Haryana Bhumi Sudhar Vikas Nigam president and Suresh Kumar Koshak a social activist and writer also spoke on the occasion.
Among the prominent Kashmiri Pandits who addressed the function included Dr S K Handoo, president Kashmiri Samaj , Faridabad, Kashi Akhoon, Dr Ramesh Raina , Utpal Koul, Lalit Ambardar, Kamal Hak, Sanjay Ganjoo, Vijay Kashkari and Dr I K Kilam.
