IGP reviews security scenario

JAMMU, Aug 22: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh chaired a meeting of Jammu based police officers here today and reviewed the law and order and security scenario of Jammu division in general and arrangement for Janamashtami in particular.
DIG Jammu Vivek Gupta briefed the IGP about various arrangements being made by Jammu Police to strengthen the law and order and security grid in the backdrop of forthcoming Janamashtami festival/Shoba-Yatra.
He said that all necessary arrangements have been made and the concerned field officers and units stand thoroughly briefed and sensitized.
Singh advised the participants to put in their best for ensuring adequate security and law and order arrangements on the eve of Shoba-Yatra/Janamashtami.
The meeting was also attended by SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh, SSP PCR Jammu Kulbir Singh, SO to IGP Jammu Zone, Rajesh Sharma and SSP APCR Jammu Ramesh Kotwal besides territorial SPs of Jammu District and all SDPOs.
