Dhara, Manish, Samridi emerge winners in painting competition

Kathua, Aug 27: On the direction of Chief Justice, Gita Mittal, Executive Chairman J&K SLSA, Rajesh Bindal and under the guidance of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Principal District and Sessions Judge Kathua) Pawan Dev Kotwal, a painting competition was organized by DLSA today at Government Girls Higher Secondary School on the theme Jal Shakti Abhiyan and Child Labor.
The programme was organized under the supervision of Secretary DLSA, Aarti Mohan and Chief Education Officer Kathua.
A total number of 53 students from 31 private and Government schools participated in the competition.
The programme was conducted by Lecturer Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Dr Jyoti Sambyal while Dr Pankaj Sharma, Rajdeep Kour and Shramika Salaria acted as judges.
The programme was attended by Principal Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Makhni Devi, Nodal Officer, Pawan Vivek and District Education Planning Officer, Aruna Sharma.
The 1st prize was given to Dhara Sudan of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kathua and 2nd prize was given to Manish Kumar of Little Flower High School Kathua besides the 3rd prize went to Samridi Kapoor of Government Middle School Parliwand Kathua.
Secretary DLSA spoke on the occasion and highlighted the significance of the topic.
