JAMMU: Pakistani Army on Thursday yet again resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation for the fifth consecutive day along the Line of Control in Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.
”This morning at about 1130 hours Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing of small arms and shelling with mortars in Mendhar Sector of Poonch,” defence spokesperson here said.
He added that Indian Army befittingly retaliated to the firing.
On Wednesday, Pakistan violated the ceasefire in Rajouri sector and on Tuesday in Poonch sector.
On August 24, an Army jawan was martyred in cross border firing while heavy damage was inflicted to Pakistani Army posts across the Line of Control in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district. (agencies)
