Sir,
Since 5th August 2019, people of Jammu and Kashmir are disconnected from the world due to ban on Internet. In today’s world, internet is equally important as food, but it has been snatched from the people of J&K. The Internet connects business with each other, so if it’s not available many business units like e – Commerce, online food delivering system, Logistic system, Online payment system, Online Recharge etc. will shut down. Since 5th, August same has happened such business owners who are toally dependent on the Internet are in loss. They have to pay their bank loans, interest, employees salary, but as their work is affected due to non-availability of internet they are not earning anything. How should they pay now ? Government should ban social media, but not complete Internet block websites, apps such as Facebook, WhatsApp which can be used for spreading rumours, but at the same time allow other websites to function on which whole business network is dependent. Due to internet ban business, loss has reached worth crores of rupees.
Recently DC Jammu in press conference had publicly said that it’s a technical issue and will be resolved as soon as service providers will fix it, but technical issue cannot be such long and cannot come on all service providers at the same time.We understand that there are some mischief mongers in the society of Jammu and Kashmir and they can disturb the situation, but in that case our J&K Police are much capable to deal with them.
We the business owners who are dependent on Internet request Govt of India, Jammu and Kashmir to please start the Mobile Internet service in Jammu area so that we can start our daily work.
