JAMMU, Aug 30: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Government Teacher Forum of District Jammu, led by Vijay Kumar, District President, called on Director School Education Jammu and discussed various issues of the teaching community with the Director.
The Forum apprised the Director that in 2014, all RRET teachers were transferred from remote areas to Jammu City of their own choice but they were not returned back to their original place of posting till date.
About 350 teachers are surplus in Jammu District since June 2016 and 140 of them are drawing their salary from Jammu District and others from the parent district, said the Forum and also requested the DSEJ for the adjustment of newly promoted Lecturers in different subject.
Director School Education Jammu assured that all issues of the teaching community would be addressed as early as possible while adjustment of the newly promoted lecturers will be done within 3-4 days.
The delegation comprised of Niranjan Sharma, Arun Tuli, Ramneek Singh, Zorawar Singh, Yash Paul Soodan, Ravinder Kumar, Harvinder Kumar, Yash Paul, Ajay Chowdhary, Satish Kumar, Rajesh Bali, Mushtaq, Saleem Khan, Raj Kumar and Ram Dayal.
