PATNA, Mar 8: Jammu & Kashmir Bank today stormed into the finals of the 2nd All India Prize Money Football championship for the Bihar Cup defeating local outfit Raj Milk FC 2-1 in the second semifinals at the Pataliputra Sports Complex here.
The substitute striker Amer Jan scored the winning goal for the visiting team deep into extra-time as he controlled an aerial pass from teammate Jamshed Ahmed and headed into the goalpost of rival Raj Milk FC.
The two teams were locked at 1-1 at halftime.
The Jammu & Kashmir captain Sheikh Rizwan struck fiercely from a distance of 20 meters after grabbing a pass from the midfielder Aman Thapa to give his team 1-0 lead in the 32nd minute.
Raj Milk FC drew parity in 44th minute as the Nigerian star Afdullahzeez Musa Usman dribbled past two defenders and calmly lobbed the ball in the Jammu & Kashmir net.
The two teams fought hard, but could not score during the second half to force the semifinal encounter into extra time.
Jammu & Kashmir Bank will take on the State Bank of Trivancore (Bangalore) in the finals to be played on March 10. (PTI)
