JAMMU, Sept 5: Inter-Collegiate Football (Men) Tournament of Cluster University of Jammu got underway at GGM Science College, here today.
Prof Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar Cluster University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, while Dr Kaushal Samotra, Principal GGM Science College were the guest of honour.
Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Sports Co-Ordinator of Cluster University of Jammu highlighted the sports achievements of the University, while Dr Sham Singh Kotwal, Physical Director of GGM Science College Jammu was present on the occasion.
The first match was played between GGM Science College and SPMR Commerce College, Jammu. SPMR College of Commerce won the match by three goals to one (3-1).
The goals were scored by Kartik, Manveer and Puneet from SPMR College of Commerce, while Arinpal Singh of GGM Science College Jammu scored the lone goal for GGM Science College.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Prof Mohinder Singh, Prof Raj Kumar Gupta, Prof Rajesh Gupta, Prof RS Pathania, Prof Shrdha Anand, Prof Nisha Sharma, Prof Pankaj Bandhoria, Sumnesh Sharma Physical Director, MAM College Jammu, Aizaz Malik Physical Director SPMR College of Commerce Jammu and Dr Rupali Slathia Physical Director GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
The Tournament was organised under the overall supervision of Dean Students Welfare, Cluster University of Jammu.
The match was officiated by Vijay Kumar, Abhishek Chandan, Rahul and Rahul Sharma.
