JAMMU, Sept 8: RN Chopra Cricket Academy defeated Lakshya Cricket Academy by 7 wickets and registered berth in the final of the Pulwama Martyrs Cup, being played at Railway Ground, here.
Earlier in the semifinal match, RN Chopra won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Lakshya Cricket Academy scored 106 runs by losing all the wickets in 28.3 overs. Nikhil and Rahul scored 32 and 23 runs respectively.
From RN Chopra Cricket Academy, Shavac took 3 wickets, while Tejvansh scalped 2 wickets.
In reply, RN Chopra Academy chased the target in 22.3 overs and sailed into the final. Shavac, Utkarsh and Samar scored 30, 29 and 25 runs respectively.
From Lakshya Academy, Rahul and Taksh took 1 wicket each.
Shavac was declared as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Balbir Singh, Coach of Trikuta Cricket Academy.
On the occasion, Ranjeet Kalra, member of JKCA and Vice Chairman of Sports Council Central University of Jammu was the chief guest, who earlier interacted with the players and wished them good luck.
He asked the youth to participate in the sports activities to keep their body mentally and physically strong.
